A lovely beach with great facilities. You can hire loungers and an umbrella easily enough and be just in front of the beach restaurant/bar. There are also WC's and changing rooms nearby along with shower stations. But it's easy enough to sit the other side of the beach if you bring your own umbrella which can be purchased fairly reasonably from one of the nearby stores on the main road. This area is a little quieter as you don't have the music from the beach bar. The sea is beautiful and nice and calm to swim in. Highly recommend

We visited this beach twice during our stay and went to Costa Costa Beach Bar. The experience was noticeably different depending on whether a cruise ship was in town. Our first visit was on a Thursday when a ship had docked, and the beach was absolutely buzzing with people. When we returned the following Tuesday, with no cruise ship due, it was far quieter and much more relaxed — a completely different vibe. It is free to go to this beach, however, Sun loungers are available at Costa Costa Beach Bar. For June 2026, we thought they were well‑priced for such a popular beach: €40 for a double lounger and umbrella on the front row, and €30 for the rows behind. The facilities are great too, with showers and a changing room available. There’s a beach bar on site, but you’re also free to bring your own food and drinks, which we did, while still choosing to spend a bit at the bar as well. The staff were friendly, and the sunbeds themselves were really comfortable and nicely padded, making it easy to spend hours there without moving. Overall, a brilliant setup and a solid choice for a beach day on Makris Gialos.

Crystal clear aquamarine water, with some modest waves and perfect for swimming. The sand is soft and clean. Beach was lovely and quiet (May).

Fantastic beach just a stone throw from Agostoli. There is car parking there lots of spaces and a short walk to the beach. Beach is beautiful. You can hire sun beds but it will set you back 30 euros. Beautiful beach bar and while this beach is stunning the food prices are very high-better you take a packed lunch with you. There are good toilets there and shower facilities. The sea is lovely and clear but was slightly rough when we went so we did not go in. Honestly on this coast this beach is defo the best one. Easy spend all day there.

Lovely beach. You just have to be fit to visit it. 😅 Coming back up from the beach will be difficult if you're disabled or not in great shape. We used our blankets but you can pay 30€ for 2 beds and an umbrella. Depending on where you go down to the beach there are bars that rent out the umbrellas & beds. The one we went to was Costa Costa. There are also 2 showers by the bar.
