Assos

Assos is one of the most picturesque villages in Kefalonia, built around a green, sheltered bay in the northern part of the island. It is known for its colourful houses, small harbour and traditional waterfront restaurants. Above the village stands the Venetian Castle of Assos, offering impressive views across the Ionian Sea. The village beach is ideal for swimming, while the famous Myrtos Beach is located nearby.
