Peratata

Peratata is a historic village in the Leivatho area of South Kefalonia, conveniently located near Argostoli and the airport. Above the village stands the impressive Castle of Saint George, once an important administrative centre of the island and a scenic viewpoint over the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the Monastery of Agios Andreas Milapidias and its Byzantine Ecclesiastical Museum. Peratata is an excellent base for cultural sightseeing and exploring South Kefalonia.
