Chavriata

Chavriata is a historic hilltop village on the Paliki Peninsula in western Kefalonia, near Lixouri. Its elevated location offers panoramic views across the Ionian Sea and the surrounding Paliki countryside. An important landmark is the old Church of Panagia, noted for its religious paintings and carved wooden iconostasis. Chavriata is also the birthplace of philosopher and scholar Vikentios Damodos.
